So, you want to improve your recordings. Start with your brain. Think about what “improving” means to you.
Then use your ears. Listen intently, don’t just hear it. Then use your brain again- think about what you’re hearing. I repeat: What are you actually hearing? This can be quite different from what you think you’re hearing. If you can pinpoint what you don’t like you can form a plan to make changes. If you can’t decide what needs changing it’s near impossible to decide what to do.
Then remember to listen with your heart. If it touches you, move on. It doesn’t need improving.
